Anyone have any experience with one of these? Im looking for a short barrel AR for coyotes. The Sweet Sixteen looks perfect. The problem is I have never been around one or know anybody who has one. I want to go as short and light as possible, but I still want it to shoot sub moa. Also I would order it with fluted black teflon barrel and 2 stage trigger upgrade.

i have a buddy that has one they are kinda heavy compared to most although if you put a different barrel on that would cut down on the weight a lot... i have a dmps prairie panther thats pretty light its a great gun i also have a stag model 3 thats a way lighter gun better quality and is a little cheaper then a sweet sixteen

I had a DPMS sweet 16 as my first AR, got rid of it for a reason. With the DPMS I shot 5" groups at 100yds and couldnt get it tighter. Got rid of it and picked up a Rock River AR and instantly shot .5" groups! So I know it wasnt the shooter...just my 2 cents. Two words, Rock River.

I shoot a Stag Model 6 but its a little longer than the Sweet Sixteen. I have a hunting partner that uses the Sweet Sixteen. He can put out 1 inch groups no problem. My Stag will put out .5'' shot groups as garaunteed. I would say any of the well known companies would be okay. Like JML said Rock River also makes a fine AR. Theres always a chance with all of them not shooting great, you just have to make sure you buy a product from a company that will back up what they make, in case of unforeseen problems.

I have a sweet 16, It was a lil heavy so I removed the barrel and took it to work so I could flute it, That made a big difference in wieght but still a lil heavy, took it off again and turned down the barrel to .625 from gas block to the end. Now its really nice to carry and im shooting 1/4" groups at 100 yrds. My next gun is gonna be the prairie panther, I like the carbon fiber fore end ( the aluminum one on the sweet 16 gets really cold on those chilly days)and the mossy oak brush camo, along with the 2 stage trigger and match grade barrel. Hope this helps.
