Default Filming night hunts

Hello folks
I am getting the itch for the up and coming season and I would love to film with a video camera and my Ittnepvs-14 do any of you folks have any experience at night with a set up.I would have to sit tight with my buddies that have gen 3 helmet mounted pvs-14 so they could let me know to start filming and which direction to start and locate. Can it be done and who has some first hand advise. My budget would be 1,000 I have seen the Nikon 5200-5300 model I like how you can share videos and or pics via smartphone apps.I am green when it comes to filming so gotta keep it somewhat Simple.I love the thrill of calling in a critter for a friend and I think it would be super fun getting it on video. Please and Thank You in advance.
We hunt at night with shotguns so all shots are 50 yds and under

Thank you again folks,

Default Camera

Buy yourself a new model GOPRO and fit an extra infra red illuminator or RED filter, put it on your rifle with a rifle attachment or on your head, each hunter can wear one, then later edit the footage and get good movies.
