Default 3 stands one double

I slipped off from the house for a few short stands a few nights ago about 9:30. First two I saw nothing after 10 minutes, and when I got to the third spot the wind was swirling a lot more than I like and I figured it was probably a lost cause and should just go back home.

At the 6 minute mark I caught eyes way down the road about 200 yards but then they were gone. A minute or 2 later there were two sets and they seemed to be coming on pretty good to the cranky cardinal. There was a slight hump in the road abouyt 50 yards out and I lost sight of the lead coyote when I muted the caller. The one in the back pulled up and turned broad side about 75 yards to look around and I dropped him with a 60 vmax. I never did see where the first one went, and after a couple more minutes I went to collect the coyote, and headed back to the house.

This was big male, that tipped my digital scale at 40 1/4 pounds.

I use birds sounds a good bit at night with good luck especially on bobcats.
