The sound cuts out and does not get louder on my hammerjack at higher sounds. Not sure what deal is. Thanks

Sounds like a battery problem. I recommend that you call the techs at Foxpro.

On a Shockwave, I've had a similar problem. At loud volume the sound would waver some. This seemed to happen even with fresh batteries and got more noticeable as the battery life diminished. I'm not sure on your model but on the Shockwave, the batteries are in series which means the current throughput is limited to the lowest "ampacity" cell. Batteries in series give more voltage than one battery but no more current than any one cell can provide or pass. I "southern engineered" an external 5v/12v USB rechargeable pack I'd bought on Amazon and it works great now. The factory pack on the Shockwave provides 15v nominal to the unit but the Foxpro rechargeable pack shows to be 11.1v, so, my pack @ 12v is perfectly fine.
Others online have reported success with "better" batteries like lithium AA which I presume have greater current throughput than alkaline batteries. --HC |
