I know a lot of people who used them, but they switched over to this type stand once then shot with me. In my opinion, the metal frames are too low to avoid grass and weeds, even 1 foot high. I have also see them hard to put in the ground when the ground is frozen. None of those problems exist with me.

I built 2 stands out of PVC approx. 24 in wide and 6ft tall

I filled the whole thing with the spray expanding foam because a bullet will break regular pvc, but just knock pieces off the pipe if it hits.

22lr goes right through, unlike if it was plain pipe it would shatter the pipe

Lowe's and other stores of that type sell the folding legs and you can cut out a piece of plywood to the size you need. I also covered mine with rubber to make it non skid, and it is dandy to setup real quick and do some serious shooting

Great idea for a target stand ,i will build one as soon as the weather warms a little - 17 here this morning, as for the shooting bench Rugged Buddy is the name of the folding table legs works really well . Complete mine weighs 21 lbs

it is too rocky for realtor signs where I am in Tx, this pvc set up looks perfect
