Default Breaking in the .204

My buddy and myself went out to do some Yote hunting this weekend. 1st couple of stands came up empty. But we finally connected with this Grey Fox on the last stand. Baybee Rabbit got his attention but the Platinum Fox sealed the deal. This is my 1st Grey....matter of fact he is the 1st one I've ever saw. Seen several of Red's but never a Grey. I'm taking donations to help support my Taxidermy bill (bobcat last week and now a grey this week) if anyone wants to help.....LOL

There was quit a bit....but I hit him very low and it blew out his underside. Opened him up like a zipper. No gutting required...

Congrats Ha Ha no gutting required. I here it's hard not to blow holes with a 204/22-250. Just mount him laying down.

I love it....I just shot my 2nd Grey Fox with NO pelt damage at all. I topped my .204 with a Burris E1 Fullview 4.5x14x42. Love the scope as well!

Are you loading down the cartridges. I have never seen a gray shot with a .204 without significant pelt damage, same with a .22-.250, etc. What ammunition? Where were they hit? What was the range?
