Default broken leg buck

My son had a little mishap this summer and broke his leg. I wasn't sure how hunting season was going to go. Even though it was hot out we decided to go out anyway tonight. We decided to sit under an apple tree in the orchard where we had been seeing some deer regularly. This guy came out at about twenty yards or so and my son make an excellent shot with the crossbow. It ran about fifty yards or so till piling up. This will be a story to last a lifetime.

Nice job! Goes to show you a broken leg shouldn't slow you down. Is that a 7 pt or an 8 pt. Regardless it's a trophy!!

Its a 7. Has a little nub on the one antler that some would count, but we didn't.

Congrats I still remember my first deer by my compound bow but I sure didn't have a broken leg to really make it an interesting story!

That's a great buck! Having a cast of blaze orange might come in handy during gun season!
