Default 2012 11 Point Buck

Here's a shot of my buck from this year, taken on day 3 of gun season using a 100 grain .243 at 75 yards. Head on shot dropped him in his tracks on a wooded 1.5 acres just outside of Claremore Oklahoma. Most of his horn tips were snapped off indicating a dominate buck.

As I was loading him in the back of the truck the lady who owns the 10 acres across the road came over for a look & said this is Bucky and he is about 2 1/2 years old. She feeds 18 deer on her place but was not upset with me at all.

I do not hunt for trophy, I hunt to eat or I hunt predators, that's it. Bucky is now in my freezer, took him to Rick's over in Collinsville and they did a great job of processing him. We counted 11 holes in Bucky's neck from fighting. Still have my bow tag & hope to fill it soon.
