Got this male last night around 8:15..Responded with his own howls within moments of playing female lone howls out of the Shockwave..and finally committed..lip squeaks sealed the deal..on stand roughly 25 mins..

My starting sound was female long howls..the sequence did not finish before he started to respond with his own long but deeper toned howls..we went back and forth several times ..I used a combo of the various long howls..some sequences I cut short with the mute as to avoid over doing it...the only different sound I used which was also the last sound I used, was pair yip howls, one sequence, to which he did not respond to vocally. He was close enough to us just not able to be picked up with my scanner due to the terrain. Within a few minutes of the end of the pair sequence I caught his eyes trotting in. Once I made a final positive ID I lip squeaked him in. He was slightly quartering towards me, more facing me so he caught a chest shot. 80yds, 55gr. Vmax 22-250. DRT.

Nice job, guess I'd better get off my butt and start getting all my gear in order. Thanks a lot for sharing your howl sequence in your second post-we can all learn from each other. Like you, I worry that sometimes I over do it and talk to 'em too much.
