Default Advise on NV Bino or NV Mono

I want to get a NV Bino or NV Mono....price range under $500.
I had a Bushnell NV Mono and I had nothing but problems.
On/Off buttons quit after 4 nights. Optics were OK, but rest was made of cheap plastic.

So if you have a good product in mind (under $500) I would be glad to hear about.
A link to where I can find it would be nice. Thanks

Maybe I will get lucky and SkyPup will send send me one of his old Gen II
for my Easter Basket

Default Night Vision

Have a look at this page, look at the night vision goodies, I will say for value for money get a LUNA PB5 with its matching illuminator they are excellent in 1gen and highly underated. If I use this with my infra red spotlight we can see jackals at night as clear as day at 200metres. These units are very very good, look around here under NIGHT VISION http://www.africanpredator.com/predatorcallinginfo.html hope this may help.

Default Two units together see here as example.

Here is the PB5 and under it the 1000 yard illuminator, an awesome package in 1 gen, dont underestimate its viewing range. http://www.africanpredator.com/art_n...n_on_sale.html

Default Both

It is vital that you buy the PB5 and the Laser, the binoculars is worth nothing without that laser, you wont see 50 yards without it. I use a huge IR spotlight on my chair at night and the IR spotlight throws a huge beam of invisible light out to 200 yards and with the binoculars you see like daylight, BUt if you dont have a big IR spotlight you need that laser, DONT buy that binoculars without that laser UNLESS you have a big IR spotlight to match it all up to. See this pic of my IR spotlight. I use a small red light to shoot with on dim after I watch the predator approach from far with NV binos. Animals come faster and closer to the call when using NV.
