DIY Camo Dip Kit

I talked to a guy at the range whose Tasco didn't take the dipping too well(fogs up) but if they warrantee as "waterproof" send it back. His new Nikon held up to the dipping. I would silicone the turrets/caps & tape off the ends for sure. Not sure where it leaks from but most scopes are "waterproof" these days. What does it say about removal ? Can you take the stuff off if you want to ? One commercial dipper says they spray it with a dureable clear coat afterwards. I asked if it was flat, non-reflective(don't wan't shiney camo) which he said it was flat finish, not water based. Getting it off plastic might be a problem .

I'd like to see some pictures of how it turns out, if anyone has used it? Also a review of how difficult the process was. Maybe a few tips to make it easier for the average Joe. Durability? Time involved in dipping a rifle?

Very nice. Thanks for posting that. That stuff will be on my list. I was worried about how much you could do with one sq. meter but the video showed how much paper you get with it and it is quite a bit.
