FNG Takes One Down - Woot!

So, after purchasing the FoxPro 2 Wildfire the other day...I took it out this early morning, where I had enough daylight to use my iron sights....

Set it on Bay Bee Cottontail first...then switched over to Vole S.....in a matter of 5 minutes...there it is...it showed up quicker than I was planned for. A Red Fox.

Grabbed my 10/22 Takedown....sighted in with hollow points...first shot around 30 yards...tagged...he dropped and was pulling his body forward...quickly snapped a couple more and all is over.

Here it is....and yes, thank you FoxPro 2 Wildfire...already feeling the investment was well worth it as I have to protect my flock of turkeys and chickens.

BTW you look familiar.......you didn't happen to work "Up North" at Edson Range (Pendelton) in the late 80's did you?......I was "Down South" in San Diego, Miramar....

XNavy, I never worked on the range, but Edson Range is a range I had to frequent once a year. I was stationed aboard Pendleton in the 80s on and off through 2009.

Well if you ever were there and saw two squids in cammies trying to blend in (we took our chevrons off our blouse collars and covers, but couldn't do much with the US NAVY over one pocket and name over the other) to comshaw rifle target backing from the huts and sneak away unseen.....that was me and another Ordie from Weaps....until we got caught by a midget 100 year old gunny who looked like a leather fire hydrant with a face like a scarred up football. Thought we were dead.....story for another time...: )
