I use a lightforce 170 hand held for looking and a 170 scope mounted for the shot,
I can see a fox at 400-500 yards with this set up,but I like to call them in to around
150-200 yards for the shot.

I've been using a Lightforce 240, pretty easy to get 300yd shots, and can see the whole animal at that range and a bit further

I use the Lightforce walkabout. Its great when you hunt with a team if you hunt by yourself or one other person I suggest the Nighthunter. I am also a dealer and my most popular in Va is the walkabout. Good Luck

In South Africa we prefer the 170 Rifle mounted L/Force. We like to put a dimmer/battery saver in line.

Hope you guys at the other side of the blue lake had a Merry Christmax.

What, no one using the "The Predator Light" ? I'm looking for an honest report on that light. I have 2 LightForce lights and they are great. I can't justify another $300.00 + for a light. Maybe next year.

Besides the Lightforce I have a Q-Beam Varmint light and a couple of regular ol' hand-held spotlights. They all work well, but so far the Lightforce is hard to beat. If I had to buy another spotlight and funds were limited I'd probably buy another Q-Beam. If you use it alot plan on replacing the switch and possibly the lighter plug, but it is a usable light.

I am very happy with my 2 Lightforce 140s with the Hunter Pack, and my friend has a 170 and I really cant tell much difference between the brightness or quality of the two beams. The dimmer switch is very nice to use for scanning alot.
