Thumbs up Coyote Hunting

Hey, I was wondering what you guys have more success with. Starting with a distress call or a vocal call?

We normally start with a female howl, if we get a response back, we may how couple of more times as long as they continue to answer. If they stop responding or hang up we go to a pup distress. I think it's the female deep howl and the pup #3 call

If I don't have any action after five minutes, I'll throw out a couple lone howls, on morning stands. That's about it, for vocals, for me, this time of year. Plain old jackrabbit has them running right up to the caller pretty good right now. I use the vocals more to try and get a location for my next stand than anything else.
