I use 6.5 grendel on coyotes and it's deadly, I use 123gr. Amax and 120gr. GMX for lead free zone in CA.

I just sighted in my new critter gitter....a 6.5 Grendel. It likes the Hornady Black 123 grain eldm with around .6" groups. I figure that will get the job done.

Just moved to the 6.5 Grendel myself. Took a coyote at 110 yards with it and had a nasty exit hole. I was using the 90gr. American Eagle TNT round.

It did know it off it's feet on impact...
Jump ahead to the 2 minute mark.
Happy Hunting to all..

Now that I have been shooting the Grendel, I think that the Grendel would make a better beginner caliber for deer than the usual choice of .243 Winchester.

I'm thinking that a rifle like the Howa mini action in the 6.5 would be great for a starter rifle.

I wonder if Mossberg will ever make the MVP in a 6.5 Grendel?

I finally took the plunge and ordered a Grendel upper from PSA. Unfortunately ammo in my area is hard to come by and it seems everyone is sold out of the 90gr factory loads. I hope I have fewer runners. How are you liking it?
