March Coyote Calling Illinois
This year I bought my first FoxPro call a fox pro Inferno. I had good luck in late January and early February using the coyote pair call only. It is now late February and March. The weather is seasonably warm and all of the snow is gone. I have tried several different sounds including distress calls and coyote vocals and had no luck. Does anybody have anything working right now for calling sequences with the FoxPro callers? Sequences? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please try to limit this thread to sound calling sequences in correlation to the time of year.

I've been using female long howl, female whimpers and fawn distress with success in northern Illinois that last week with success

OK thank you for the help. Are you doing those calls and that specific sequence? Are you just using one of those calls off and on over a period of time?

Female long howl a couple times then whimpers on and off, if no show or sign of yote after30 I switch coyote pair for a second then fawn distress off and on

Sounds good. I am going out tomorrow morning I will give it a shot and report back. A little bit worried though about this warm weather. I don't think it will do us any good but we will see. 50f

Whenever you guys play the coyote vocals do you let it loop numerous times or do you play the sequence once and then stop it?

I only play sequence a couple times then wait for a reply then respond back with a whimper or sore howl

I apologize for the delayed response. I went out last weekend and tried the calls that you guys mentioned. On the first day and I started out with the female Howl followed by fawn in distress. No luck. Move my next stand and did a numerous amount of female calls and coyote pair with no luck. Then I played fawn in distress often on for about six or seven minutes. Still nothing. 25 minutes in the calling switch to lightning Jack and had one show up right away.
