I have a Firestorm and before I ordered it I read somewhere that you can install other sounds in certain formats (MP3 & WAV I believe). Is this true and if so how do you get the files into the caller. I have a Javelina sound that I made and can put it into a MP2 or WAV format. Thanks for your help, Don

I'm trying to load a sound on my FX-3. I have the sound in .wav format. The properties says it's 301KB with a audio bit rate of 705 kbps. The sound will load on my fx-3 but it won't play. Thanks for any advise Tim

UPDATE- I used Audacity and changed it to 37.1 KB with a bit rate of 128 kbps and it still won't play. Any ideas?

I use Audacity to fiddle with sounds.... I just checked the Johnny Stewart sounds on my CS24 and they are 32 bit float...44,100 bit rate... and they play very nicely

IMPORTANT NOTE: Your FX3 will play .FXP, .mp3 and .wav files (stereo .wav
files at 32 kHz sample rate). Other file types are not supported..
I got the bit info from the FX3 Manual - top of page 12

You may want to convert your wav files to MP3 files using the bit rate above.

Changed it to .mp3 and the sound plays well. Thanks for the help! Just some background noise. Any way to eliminate the noise?
