Went out on 11-1 for some crows. I hadn't done any scouting lately but new from the past I would find some crows in this field. I used an FX3, knight & Hale hand call & last but definitely never least,, my Jack Mincey hand call. This is my usual average crow hunt.

The sunrise from my brush blind.

Across the field.

The final tally.

Good going! What sounds do you use on your FX-3?

Thanks Weasel. I use the standard FP crow sounds that I got when I ordered the unit about 4 years ago. They have worked well for me.

Weasel-- I have all the FP crow sounds,, except Bob A's,, listed except the crow & owl & the crow & hawk sounds. I don't believe those two were available when I ordered my unit.

Nice crows by the way, but what type of choke do you use for crows and high brass or low brass and as far as ammunition how many allowed in the chamber 3 or more? Thank you

I'm shooting a 20ga 870 with the factory modified choke & 7/8oz of 7 1/2's or 8's. Depending on what I grab out of the bucket at the time. They both kill em good. All my ammo is reloaded by my Brother in Winchester AA hulls with the high brass. We're now allowed to carry 4 & 1 for crows. Due to the low volume of shooting I do on crows I leave mine plugged for turkey season tho. The only difference I can tell between high & low brass is it's way easier to reload the high brass. The low brass wants to bulge at the bottom & it chambers way too hard. HTH

Do you use any kind of decoys?

Yes I do. I use the full body plastic dekes. Don't remember where I gto themm anymore. Maybe Gander Mtn. I set out 6 & pull one after each of the GOOD crows hit the dirt.
