Default Grandsons' Success

About ten days ago, right after my cataract surgery, my grandsons, Josh & Jacob Sexton went on a late afternoon coyote hunt. It was Jacob's first hunt of the year with his new rifle. The farm was grown up pretty bad since last year, making it hard to set up. About two minutes into Josh's calling, coyotes came in all scattered out. Jacob killed 4 of them DRT at various distances, and Josh knocked the last one down at about 300 yards. It had gotten so dark that they couldn't recover the 5th one until the next day. I told Jacob that getting a quad so early in his hunting career is truly unusual and a memory he will never forget. Another great example of Possumal's grandsons getting the job done.

No, he bought a 243 Savage Axis II with the scope package. My nephew and oldest son, Al, Jr., are the only ones using an AR platform. Jonathan, brother to Josh and Jacob, called in 6 a couple of days ago, and killed 4 of them. Coyote killing machines is what they are.

So can Josh, Jonathan, and his ancient peepaw. I have found that in most cases, you have plenty of time to get ready for the next shot. Very seldom do the shots present themselves where you can just keep pulling the trigger. Other people may have a different experience.
