Feline Hunting No, not the place for housecats. This is for the "other"cats, including bobcats and mountain lions (the BIG cats).

Default Pa Bobcat help

Hi guys, anyone on the forum from the 4c area of Pa?? Looking to locate some Bobcat sign and hopefully harvest one. Iíve been out multiple times before the season scouting but didnít come across any tracks or other sign. Any help or input would be greatly appreciated thanks!!

I have some great areas to hunt but see little sign even when I know there are cats in the area. The reason I know the cats are there is that I search for trails that seem to ME would be a good spot for a cat. I like areas along creeks, have young pines (5-12 years) and a thicket nearby. Then I set out trail cams in a circular pattern. Normally 5-6 and wait. If they are there you will soon know.

Problem with scat is it offten gets confused with coyote but a picture tells all. Just my 2 cents. I am sure that most on here know much more than me but I can pull my picture up anytime. It is a great motivator. Good luck

The hardest to find and kill of any predator in PA (where you are allowed to hunt cat).

Check out Sonny Pruitt's threads on hunting Bobs....he's in VA but they are informative reads and relevant.
