Default Lets see what you've been up too

Seasons are open, pups are dispersing and respond well to calls. Anybody getting out?

Way too hot for me here in Ky.. I'd say another couple of weeks or so will cool off enough to get me going.

Cool enough here this weekend. Highs in low 60s, lows in lower 30's.

But, I'm not getting out this weekend. Maybe next, if it doesn't heat up again.

Golly Dave, hard for me to imagine weather that comfortable. Our weather has been unseasonably hot for months. I can see a trip for you and old Tim is rapidly approaching.

I have been out a few times, shot 3 adults after the hay cuts but have not seen any youngsters.... Going to try and hold off for some warmer weather as it is about 90 degree here today... Should cool off next week...

You would be precisely correct Mr. Al!

Tim called me as soon as he woke up this morning, then again about an hour ago. Plans are being made .

Dave I understand that the Mtns have gotten some snow already which could be good or bad for my up coming trip to your area.

Vern, as of now, that little bit of snow isn't going to be of much concern, or use. I'd guess non-factor. As of now!

Here is a different direction for this thread.
Have not gotten out and done any hunting since getting back from the Elk hunt in UT but have managed to finish the construction of the inside of the Man Cave. laminated and drywall Walls, Windows, laminated Floor, Reloading bench and storage shelves. Do have some furnishings, 7 foot black bear, 4 x 8 Mule deer, Table & chairs, stocked bar (CR only), propane fireplace. Actually calling it the Dog House and anyone that has been married for any length of time (especially 49 years) can relate to.
Would post pictures but can't figure it out

Up here we have already gotten our winters worth of snow, and winter is a month away. Well over 30" on the flats here. That said it's 50* somedays.
Most melts but the roads are a mess , Mud up to the hubs.
I try not to go calling in deer season , an excellent way to be shot.
I have been out some but at night, an excellent way to get a visit from the sheriff or game warden. Not a lot of luck.
We have about tagged out on antelope, deer, and elk. The freeze came before the flights of northern ducks and geese only the locals left on the rivers.
Thanksgiving weekend ends the general season and we will start calling the next week. Looking for another snowmobile and dusting off the snowshoes.
