Default Couldn't wait...

I have been a dedicated bolt gun, red kill and scan light guy since MD Archer infected me with night hunting predators many seasons ago....I was never one to fall into the cool kid groove (didn't have to, I was always cool....lol) but all the rave is AR's and night vision these days.....so I decided to build another AR dedicated for night vision.

I have built dozens of AR's....but never one dedicated to hunting. I had a ton of parts left over. I stripped down an upper and lower and thought I'd have a winter project....but I couldn't wait and started ordering parts left and right fast and furious (I was ordering fast and the Wife was furious).

I'm trying a new trigger this time...a RISE Armament. Heard good things. Ordered a Hogue stock, grip and free float handguard set, BCM charging handle and bolt carrier group, all the little parts are just USGI and DPMS parts scrounged up. The barrel just came in a few days ago....the wait time on the White Oak I wanted was silly.....so went with a Bear Creek Arsenal (flip of the coin?) heavy 20 " 223 Wylde chamber 1-9.

Hoping to find a load between 2800-3100 with pills 55-62 gr....seeing good things with the 60gr Vmax with 20" 1-9 barrels.

Last things will be the optics and flash suppressor.....probably a Sightmark Wraith and the Smith Enterprise Vortex.

..may just have to go start paperwork on a can also.....; )

Doc if you can build your "dog house" you can put together an AR.....not much different than building model cars/planes as a kid.
