i prefer the J S calls aswell , i am now using foxpro calls ,they dont seem very productive until the crows are starting to gather in late August, i also have a cd by Desert Trail Calls titled Frenzied crows that seem to bring them into the trees around my yard and i usually get 1 or 2 with the air rifle , being in town i am limited to 1 or 2 shots and then i am concerned that my nosy neighbour will call the swat team

i have also determined that the magpies are usually first on the scene when the crow call starts up , which is handy as the young maggys are very noisey and there is lots of them
