Default 2010 AZ Spring Bear

I initially spotted and stalked this bear, but ended up misjudging its distance from me in the field, and hit it with an arrow in the lower leg near the foot. Three weeks later (July, 8th) I spotted it again, but it disappeared before I could hit it with an arrow. I then actually called it in almost an hour later with one of my favorite hand predator calls and hit it in the back thigh. Yes, it was the same call that I got my 2009 Fall Arizona boar with! I tracked the bear for nearly an hour and then put a second arrow into its head. Several hours later after tracking it again through human-forbidding country, I recovered the quarry. This new bear was a small sow, estimated to be two-and-a-half years old and 130 pounds by the Game and Fish Department of Arizona. But, she was beautifully colored and tested my hunting abilities to their limits! I now finally believe what many other hunters have related to me..namely that, "Any bear with a bow, is a good bear!"
