WooHoo! Congratulations. Now that the ice is broken, so to speak. The rest will come easier.

Thanks Weasel,..

Now, here is how it all happened,.At 2:30 pm we went to stand,.it was quite warm on the stand and we passed on lunch earlier,.My husband broke out a bag of popcorn and we sat there munching away with no hunting discipline about it.

Suddenly, we notice this tree starts shaking like in the move cool hand luke, as there was little to no wind yesterday afternoon, so, there stands this deer about 140-160 yds away rubbing his horns on the little tree that you see next to my left leg/knee in the picture, well my husband put the binos on it to verify that it was in fact a buck, The rest was history! 1 shot put him down as the bullet severed his spinal cord at neck level at 3:15 pm.

A good feeling to know you still have it after being skunked for 3+ years
and a box and a half of .44 ammo at the range prior to the start of the season

That's quite a shot to make at that range with a .44. That practice really paid off.
