I saw it too. The coyotes in your face barking and mad as hell! Fun to watch and would be more fun to be part of.

Currently watching now. Unbelievable, don't know if it would work here in pa where I'm at but looks like a good job for a dog I'm on a list for.

I liked it so much I watched it twice. I've been a long time fan of Spot and his person, Jeff Writer.

rhomc, a coyote dog will help where you live, but they aren't beneficial all the time. The time of year that Big Al and Jeff Writer were hunting is nearly always good for using decoy dogs.

I don't want to own a dog, I want to go with someone who has one. It would be a fun experience.

PhilB, I was fortunate to get to hunt with Jerry Hunsley and his great BMC, Wiley. That dog was nearly magic and he was built to handle the task at hand. It was next to impossible to see a coyote before Wiley did, and he was constantly smelling the wind to detect one. I suspect he had enough up close meetings with them to not want to come in on the sneak. He met one big pair at the bottom of a ridge, and turned the big male upside down, and then started working him towards us. I'll never forget Jerry or Wiley.

Glad you guys liked the show. I know we had a good time filming it. Big Al was a lot of fun to hunt with for sure. If all goes well Abner and I will try it again this coming June.

Yea I figured it would have to be the right time of year for them. I'm getting a redbone coonhound and I don't coon hunt so I figure if I can figure out how to tech a dog to coyote hunt that it would be a good job for him. I, along with the help of a trainer have my Brittany hunting birds and she is damn good at it. Just need to figure out how to train a dog to yote hunt.
