Thanks Porcupine APPRECIATE It-------Just got the hide back from the tannery [Moyles} Yesterday Boy this coyote has some of the thickest fur I've seen in a long time. Very Happy with the tan also----------------svb

Congrats, I do believe you. At 150 yds. a 17HMR is pushing 1500/1600FPS and around 100 foot pounds of energy. It doesn't take much energy to punch a hole into the vitals and kill a coyote at that range. Now to do that consistently with the HMR under normal hunting conditions and recover them is another matter. Andrew I believe shot and DRT a big coyote at 180 + yds. with a 22 mag. Other guys have shot dogs with 243 and lost them. So anything within reason is possible. Congrats again, nice story.
