Default New to calling from Iowa

This big male is the 1st kill calling. It was the 5th stand in two days. Called in two on the 1st stand and one on the 2nd stand they both came in from my back side out of standing cornfields. I have a lot to learn .

Welcome to the forum. Thanks for posting that great picture of a big old male. Maybe you are taking up where the late Rich Cronk left off.

Rich Cronk was an excellent coyote hunter, and he made some really good calls. He is best known for his cowhorn and buffalo horn howlers and his "Killer Calls". He really knew how to tune a call to be easy to blow with lots of quality sound. He was a retired detective at Council Bluffs, Iowa. I visited him and his wife, Mary, in 2006. They treated me better than any old possum deserves, and he made me a buffalo horn howler that my son uses now. Later, he made me a custom buffalo horn howler, much smaller, and it would really sing. We emailed and talked on the phone pretty regularly. I miss him a bunch.

Sound like he was a great person and a better friend. Where are you from if I may ask?
