Default How cold is too cold?

Last night I tried calling in 5* weather with a slight wind. It was cold. My Shockwave would play a sound to about volume 30 then it would distort and get very choppy. I would decrease the volume and it would play just fine. Batteries are Energizer Lithiums and are pretty new. So is this a limit of the unit or the speakers or something else?

We have used ours at -37*
The sound is ok but the battery only lasts a short time.

I would guess you just need new batteries. I get about two nights of calling out of my shockwave before the sounds starts distorting at higher volumes. I change the batteries and then don’t have an issue. The cold drains the batteries faster too

Thanks for the replies. I will look at swapping the batteries in the unit.
