Default Moravia, NY Checking In

Bought a caller in 2006 checked into this back then. Started chasing critters with my brother and his dogs for 3-4 years. Lost interest when spending over a $100 a week for gas. Coyotes have gotten more bold and are in my yard now, took my ole 25 year old pet goose. There is pay back now, so the caller has came back out. And the gloves are off. Only a couple more weeks of legal season here except to protect livestock.

Looking forward to stealing y'alls tricks of the trade and sharing what I learn to help others.

Did I mention, I'm from South End of Owasco Lake.

Sorry to hear you lost your 25yr old goose. I would try distress sounds, goose, duck, chicken, goat, calf. He might feel he can come back for another free meal.

Had caller and decoy set out on pond near some open water. Did use the variety of calls I was very out of sight. A coyote came within 20 yds of caller nested in some pine trees and apparently watched.

Sometime after I threw towel in for night it came out to caller spot and marked it.

It's gonna be more difficult with the close in cover they have. I hope persistence will prevail.
