Same jacket and core as a wcd! Not to mention unavailable. Lol I'm loading some 25 wcd up for xnavy and I to try right now.

They had a whole slew of 20 gr xtp ammo at the gun store yesterday so that still an option.
Yes we both agreed no Tupperware tips. I was thinking of the WCD 30 Gold but was concerned with our M25 barrels. Especially if we try to reduce the 30GR load some. If I see 17HMR with XTP or CCI Game Point I'm buying and pulling so we have some on-hand!

Just curious xnavyordie, I've thought about pulling XTPs from the hmrs. Have u tried it personally? I wish they would just make those available to buy for reloading.

A guy on saubier forums is conducting an ongoing test of all the 20 gr bullets right now and that's where I got the idea. He says they shoot real well at hornet speeds.

Took out a friend for groundhogs yesterday. He was using a .204. 32 grain VMAX factory ammo. I watched him shoot a groundhog at 20 yards with a good shot. He went to get it and it took off running. He shot it a second time at 50 yards and it was another good shot. I watched in shock again as the groundhog recovered and wobbled to its hole. He also hit another groundhog with the vmax. I didn't see it but he said it was a solid hit at 100 yards and it ran to its hole. The other two died on the spot.

If interested and you are a facebook person, I posted a picture and video @ Master Predator Hunting.

32 vmaxes splash horribly out of a 204 on groundhogs and coyote. This works well on prairie dogs and crows but little else. They are however absolutely awesome out of a 20 vartarg which runs them around 3700.

Have you used them on coyotes in your 20 vartarg?

How fast is the .204 pushing them?

All the soft points and hollow points are gradually being cut by bullet makers. :=(
