I'm wanting to mount this buck, but the cape is no good. He had a cut on his neck that was infected. If any of you guys are mule deer hunters, and you kill a buck that your not going to mount, I would be interested in buying your cape from ya.

Let me know how big of a mule deer cape you need and from what region and time of year. I'm a taxidermist...

I figure that a 19 or 20 inch neck cape would work. He was killed in Northeastern Oregon. I think I got him on Sept. 18th. Thanks.

I'm an award winning taxidermist and hides sell, based on condition, color and size. If you have a good taxidermist he should have no problem getting you one. It would be a lot cheaper to get one off an individual but it may not be a very good quality hide. Also, I have one question? Who said your cape was no good because of the cut? Sounds like an easy fix for any experieced taxidermist.
