Default Turkey season around the corner!

Season opens April 15th here in Washington State. How many of you are excited and anxious for another spring time in the woods chasing gobblers?

Most of my turkey hunting is on walk/bike in logging company property. Last year they logged a big plot of it so I'm wondering what it looks like this year.

I wasn't able to go last year and this year isn't looking any better...........BUT, I'm going to do my best to sneak away for a morning hunt or two. So maybe yes.

There was one year we set up camp in the snow and by the end of the week it was getting into the 90s.

Here in Missouri where still in Winter mode going below freezing. Hens will not be going to nest till mid May. Will be curious to see how hunting goes with plenty of hen competition. Also Mo turkey population is low with several bad hatches.

Well, thanks for your replies. Sounds like the weather isn't looking good for many areas right now.

Took my nephew out opening day Missouri youth season. 45 minutes in a heated blind yealded a 23 lb gobbler with a double beard 11 and 7 inches with 1.25 spurrs. What a first bird. 20 degrees when we walked in I thought it was going to be a waist of time but he came write in.
