Over the summer while I was laid off (gotta love covid) I needed something to keep me busy considering my other hobbies were shut down as well. So I got into shot shell reloading with the main focus being predator loads. Got these results at 40 yards-
Gun: Mossberg 930 26” barrel Choke: Carlson’s Coyote Both patterns were fairly centered and the targets are 12” in diameter. Personally, this load will work for me out to 40. Load #1: Remington STS Hull 1 3/8 ounce loaded with nickel plated BB and buffered with BPI #47 ![]() Load #2: Federal Gold Medal 1 1/2 ounce nickel plated BB, buffered with BPI #47 ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It looks good to me.
I load Coyote loads also but use Lead "F" shot, It is 22 caliber size and in a 3" I can get is 47 pellets and 1550 fps. I use Steel powder A MM wad and a .669 extended choke tube. In my 870 and Stoeger m3500, I get a patteran that at 50 yards I get around 10 hits in an 8" pie plate. I have dropped them flat dead at well over 70 yards.

![]() It honestly interests me more than a rifle for predators. Anyone can take a shot at 200 yards, takes a little more work to get them into shotgun range in my opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
