Default Hello from Kent, UK

Hi all, have just purchased a Spitfire for vermin use on our Game shoot. Have so far used it once to good effect - 6 foxes were called and 3 killed ( I wasn't shooting - just calling !)

It is my first experience of using a digital call and it has certainly proved effective, with the rifle shooter I was with being now totally convinced by them. The Spitfire for use in the UK has more than enough calls on it to be a worthwhile tool for use here.

I participate in all forms of shooting in the UK from Clays to Deer stalking, although gun controls are likely to be tightened again after the tragedy in Cumbria. History of these things happening here usually means the legitimate shooting public suffer.

Any way good luck to all from over the pond and good shooting.

Keith

Hi Keith! Hopefully the Cumbria tragedy won't impact honest sportsmen and women, but knowing the history it doesn't look good.

Hi Keith nice to meet you and welcome to the foxpro boards. Sounds like you've had an awesome time on your first outing with the new caller! I hope all works out for the best after the cumbria tragedy for you and the rest of the responsible hunters/shooters there in the UK. Hope to see some pics of your foxes sometime. We don't have many fox around here in my part of the world mostly coyotes! What sounds were working for you on the spitfire?

Default Another Newbie from across the water!

Hi to all on the Forum

I'm awaiting delivery of my Spitfire (hopefully today) and can't wait to try it out on the foxes on our game shoot here in East Anglia.

I'm curious to know where to start though - which calls are best for the UK etc. - and would appreciate any feedback members in the UK could provide.

Keith from Kent - which sounds worked for you 1st time out?

Many thanks
