Default Blue Jay Distress

I was hunting during the evening Friday and used blue jay distress. I ended the set with more distress sounds but when using the blue jay distress I had a large woodpecker come in on the tree above fox pro and the decoy. The woodpecker started squawking. I then had other smaller song birds come in. Is this normal ?

Yep! I sometimes hunt in areas that have a lot of Blue Jays. The Blue Jays and Magpies especially show up in BUNCHES!!! Other birds join in too. I think the flocks of birds raising a fuss create another attraction for the predators.
