I actually thought about that, but didn't want to risk the chance of him gettin away. I don't think he would have made it very far very fast...... or maybe I would've been surprised at a coyote's skill on ice!

Yea, I was disapointed when he got nervous and started his honey badger moonwalkin. I thought I was fixin to see a rodeo.
To the OP...Although to scare him and see the trainwreck would have entertained those of us that are slightly twisted, the way you let that play out was one of the coolest videos of natural behavior I have seen.
