Default Making Turkey calls

I want to start trying to making turkey diaphragm calls.. I'm tired of buying ones that I don't ever use.. There's a select few that I like to use (woodhaven, and primos).. But I'd much rather try making my own.

I was looking online and saw you can buy the turkey call presses, but they're $700 and don't really feel like spending that much on one, lol..

I understand the different cuts and reeds, but I don't know the best materials to use.. a lot of that will be trial and error.. but I'll stop rambling. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

Thank you and I'd greatly appreciate it.
