Default Windy Day Coon

The wind has been blowing pretty much non-stop here for the last couple of days. I just had to get out and walk off some of the Thanksgiving feast I had yesterday. I decided to fight the wind and put some coon stands in. It proved to be a bit tough. Saw lots of fur lounging in the trees, but most of them were not playing today...they must have not gotten the memo, LOL. Anyways, I did manage to get two of the bandits after about 7 stands. The Hornet is continuing to impress me for a coon calling caliber. This fella was in a rats nest area of a den tree. Pretty much had to get almost under the den tree to clear any limbs in the area. He got hit broadside at under 10yds.

This one made a late appearance. Almost shut the call off and wrapped it up when I saw this fatty pushing itself out of a very small hole in the tree. Quite comical to watch. It was only out for a brief moment and tried to go right back in. I zapped it in the back at about 30yds. Sack of potatoes out of a 3rd story window......

I think I'm going to do some night calling tomorrow. The wind is supposed to lay down a bit here....

You really are making me jealous with all these coons you're getting. It's been a little warm here but I may give it a try after deer hunting in the morning.

Keep up the good work.
