Talking 2010 Wyo Mule Deer

My wife shot this buck on opening day this year using her Mauser 98 7MM RM. Looonnngggg story behind it. We have been hunting this buck for three years now(nick named "moose").

The rest of our crew(including myself) finished the season early with 2 average 3X3s, a forkhorn, and a small 3X5.

Moose WAS #1 in the local big deer contest as of this morning.

Y2C Thanks. I'll pass it along.

WEAS It would be nice if it did. This buck is an older, bigger version of the one I posted here two years ago; almost identical. My wife shot that one as well. Both were taken within 400 yards of the same spot. Looking at this(and the first one) they both exhibit whitetail cross in their point configurations. Both were mule deer all the way - except for the antlers.

The game warden will probably stop by today(my request) and we will get it measured then

Well, mr. GW didn't show.. Thats typical........................................... ...

We scored the buck using Boone & Crocketts online procedures and came up with 158 7/8s after an 8 3/8s deduction. Better than we thought...

We live 970 feet south of HWY 16/20 almost half way between Graybull and Cody in SUBURBAN (LOL) Emblem; 3/4 mile east of the Emblem post office(POP 10).

Where are you located?
