Feline Hunting No, not the place for housecats. This is for the "other"cats, including bobcats and mountain lions (the BIG cats).

Default Just a novice but this is big local cat.

bobcat.PNG

I know less than nothing about this sport, but my wife sent me this pic after a guy she was working with sent it to her. Big cat from Western MA shot the first day of Black Powder season as I understand. Weighed in at just under 30lbs.

Nice cat, looks bigger than 30lbs. It seems that the cats came back strong since the turkey population took off in the last 25 yrs.

Nice cat. Did he harvest it with a muzzle loader? That would be a great bonus in my book.

I didn't think people were still allowed to hunt and think for themselves in Massachusetts. Thought the liberals had total control by now. I know trapping has got to be illegal by now.

Really a great cat.

Still a few of us hiding away 100 miles west of Boston LOL. We have some great hunting, and lots open land, just some crazy laws.

Just a pic of someone who knew someone who got that cat. Old thread, I opened it to see the pic only to realize I was the OP. Mass seems to loathe outdoorsmen. I think I just read that the state is looking into enforcing/creating leash laws and pet poop removal from wildlife management areas. These are the areas mass stock 3 pheasant for every 200 hunters. The land in western Mass is gorgeous. Big deer, great fishing, coyotes, bear. Just ridiculous laws written by people in Boston to be enforced on lands they have never seen.
