Default Painting turkey decoys

I have 3 old turkey decoys that are looking pretty bad. The paint on the heads are pretty much worn off. It was bought as a set of 3 (Jake, feeding hen, upright hen). I was thinking of painting them. Has anybody done this to bring new life back to old decoys? If so, any tips? Thanks.

I showed my father the repainted decoys, and now I am painting his hen decoy. We bought the same set years ago from Cabela's.
