Default Four Paws captures whole litter of coyote pups

Four Paws (aka Possumal Jr.) responded to a help call from a farmer this a.m., and ended up capturing an entire litter of coyote pups, with their eyes still shut. There were 5 males and 2 females, with one female having beautiful markings with 4 white paws and a white tip on her tail. There may have been one more pup but the mother coyote may have drug her back further into the den. Here is a picture of the pups.

Default Curious...

Why were they taken away from the mother/area? What are the plans for the pups? Just curious. Its illegal around my neck of the woods to remove wildlife and keep unless you have a permit or employed within the capacity of a County/State/Etc position...wife is a County Animal Control Officer/Cruelty Investigator and prosecutes folks who have removed wildlife for pets and other reasons without proper authority.... Jus say'n...

Removed at request of farm owner to be euthanized, stuffed, & mounted with mother. He's been losing the calves so I guess he's earned it. Interesting to say the least. Should make a great mount!

That's $350.00 in bounty money here in Utah. A lot of people have started denning since the bounty system was put in place.

I'm sure it's good money here. I've never messed with it, but I'd love to have the mount.

Same happened here but they turned out to be baby coons--farmer though they were coyote pups-He still didn't want them on the farm so I turned them into a wildlife caretaker-------their eyes were closed too--they figured they were 4 days old--noisy little critters---------sb

Default Breeding stock??

There is a gal here in Maine, that has used Coyote pups like these to bred back into some stain of sled dogs that she uses to run races all over N.A. she is well known on the circuit and claims they are the best sled dogs ever and can pull like no other pure dog she has ever been behind , and she told me that the intelligence far surpassed anything the ever bred before or since, I am guessing one of those pups you have there would bring some very strong money to someone like her that has messed around breeding them???
