We have hunted with and without sticks and when it comes to the coyote? we prefer the knees because of their being so unpredictable on their approachs. Because of that we do not shoot unless they are inside the 200 yard range. We do use sticks for deer though. Their tracking and approach is much more predictable. Lets see, smaller target? shoot from the knees; large target? shoot from the sticks. Could be we need some kind of therapy!!!!

Default New model from BOGgear

IMO, BOGgear is making the best shooting sticks available today, and their new model shows just how innovative their company is. BOGgear LLC announced the official release of its brand new BOG-POD tripod, the CLD-3S. The CLD-3S (Camo Legged Devil Short Tripod) is the compact version of BOGgear's already very popular, full-sized camo tripod, the CLD-3. With all the same great features of the CLD Series, the CLD-3S is a shorter and lighter model that is perfect for carrying when size and weight really matter, yet is still rock solid, reliable, and ideal for almost any shooting need.

Here is a link for you to take a look: http://www.boggear.com/cld_shooting_sticks.html

Default Varmint Al's

Everyone should try a set of varmint Al's bipod shooting sticks. It is my bet is, if you make, and try this bipod. You will use them and make others in differant lengths.
I suggest getting a piece of oak trim from lowes or menards.
1/2'' by 3/4'' Mine are 36'' long. The wood was $4.00 the bolt was .50 cents.
you need a piece of sand papper
So what do you have to loose. These are cheeper than the shipping on any other sticks. And they are oak. so they look very nice.
When shooting the more ancor points you have the better.
So'' set down get your embows on your knees and one hand on the sticks and forarm of your gun.

Good luck and good shooting Jerry
