I am from WV and we have a lot of fox's grays mostly and some reds too...but we are starting to get some coyote's in some of my calling areas..I am thinking about getting the CS-24 or the fury? I want the CS-24 but it only comes with 50 sounds and the fury has 100..Would it be cheaper to get the CS-24 and buy extra sounds or ? I went down the list of sound and I would like to have about 70-80 that is on the fox-pro sound list? What should I do and what are some of the better sounds for the eastern area?

The CS24 a fantastic caller and my personal choice. You get a true "custom" call built for YOU and exactly the way you want it. The Fury is an awesome machine too with a few more "options" that you'll have to consider in you choce also. Would you use the foxfade option? the Foxcast option or the Auto Volume? I chose the CS24 due to my style of hunting and realy would'nt use those options at all. Any of the foxpro bird or rabbit sounds will serve you very well and don't forget about the "free" sounds available also. Have you looked at those sounds? I'm sure if you asked the guy's at foxpro they would load them onto your CS24 too giving you a ton of sounds. LOL You really can't go wrong with any of the Foxpro callers.

I don't use rechargable batteries. I just buy a 10 pack of energizers and keep and extra 10 pack in the truck just incase I need to change em out. I have used the caller with the same set of batteries since I got it this late winter and have made many stands on those 10 batteries. I'll do the same for this fall. There are many options for batteries and chargers available to you to choose from and maybe someone who uses the rechgables will chime on in.
Unless your calling in severly cold temperatures I wouldn't worry about the batteries going dead you'll get many many sets with the ones in on the caller.

I prefer the shrink wrap battery pack you see at this link. It has superior shelf life and really holds up well. http://www.batteryspace.com/nimhbatt...kingrobot.aspx
