wind can be an issue as sound doesn't travel as far in direction u might want it to. animals are more nervous coming in to call since wind is making noise and making things move about. but you cant kill them if you don't try and actually some of my best calling for coyotes or coon has been when fairly windy, like around 15mph. I would prefer some wind rather then no wind. I don't seem to do as good if it is calm.
