My guess is that it somehow slipped passed their Quality Assurance process and was a potential safety hazard....meaning lawsuit and negative impact to the brand making them tight lipped.

Still not sure what was wrong with my riffle but originally thy were going top replace the barrel but according to the call I got today they decided to replace the entire upper. Still not sure what the problem was but as long as it gets fixed and fixed right I can't say to much

Well have done some experimenting with OAL and have found that in order to not get scratches in the bullet tips I need to seat the bullet at 2.0
Not sure if this is acceptable or safe

2.260 is about the max OAL with a standard magazine. You should be fine with 2.215

Did you stand them up to a factory load?
